Manjeera is a musical instrument that is used in dance music and bhajans. It is also known as jhanj tala Challam mondira, among other things. It consists of a set of small cymbals. It is a very ancient instrument that is traditionally made of brass to produce the necessary sound for puja purposes. When struck together, they make a rhythmic tinkling sound. The pitch of the sounds varies depending on their size, weight, and material of construction. A player can also change the timbre of the sound by changing the point of contact while playing. During Bhajans and Puja, brass Manjeera is used.
