Fine Cut Glass Knobs

Fine cut glass is one of the oldest varieties of glass in addition to tableware, dinnerware and other forms of glassware manufactured in pot deep eye furnaces. From the old fashioned design days, fine cut glass finds its origins in the great Brilliant Period.

Owing to its liquid viscosity, this fine cut glass becomes the core substance material for infinite number of designs and patterns. One of the earliest and most famous fine cut glass patterns was flowered scrolls.

During these years, some of the most popular door knobs by designers comprised of pieces like etched knobs, engraved knobs, spray painted knobs and pulls made in colourful stained glass. While some of these were created this way, some others were created with pairings of enamel, ceramic or metallic materials such as gold, silver and bronze.

This assortment of door and pulls by Indianshelf features exquisite fine cut glass knobs molded in various decorative patterns, eccentric shapes and modern designs. Take for instance, our tapered baguette shaped knobs.

They are no less than the luxury vintage hardware. Other options include beehive, florals, geometrical, step spirals, spherical balls, faceted and bubble trap designs.

On one hand where the antique cut glass knobs were mostly clear in appearance, the emergence of coloured glass has escalated in the modern day. Here you will find a medley of colour splashes containing turquoise, pea green, baby pink, royal blue, queen magenta, amber orange, milk white and more.

While the cut glass offers a clear crystalline texture, the decorative setscrew artistry at the centre of the spindle gives a twist to their appeal.

The watery shimmering display of these glass knobs make them excellent additions to cupboards, drawers, interior cabinets and flap-lid shelves. They are also ideal for craft purposes.
