Vishwakarma is the patron deity of all artisans and architects. He is the divine draughtsman of the entire universe and the official builder of all the gods' palaces. He is Brahma's son. Vishwakarma is also the creator of all the gods' flying chariots and weapons. "The lord of the art forms, executor of a hundred handicraft items, the carpenter of the gods, the most eminent of artisans, fashioner of all ornaments... and a great and immortal god," he is described as. He has four hands, a crown, a plethora of gold jewellery, and a water-pot, a book, a noose, and artisan's tools in each.
